We are thrilled to announce that Alina Rivera, CEO of Advising Puerto Rico, has been elected to the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) Leadership Initiative Board (LIB). Alina’s three-year term will begin in July 2024, marking a significant milestone in her career.

NACVA is a global leader in supporting the providers and users of business valuation and financial litigation services. The Leadership Initiative Board (LIB) plays a crucial role in keeping NACVA at the forefront of thought leadership in these disciplines. The board works proactively with various representative communities, including the user, judiciary, legal, legislative, and academic sectors, to merge thinking and advance industry knowledge. The purpose of the LIB is to engage with professionals in business valuation and financial litigation to encourage input, identify ways to advance industry knowledge, and foster cooperation among all vested parties. The ultimate goal is to enlighten practitioners with both theoretical and practical knowledge, providing greater support and value, and asserting influence within the representative communities.

Alina’s election to the LIB is a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field. She has always been deeply involved with NACVA, holding two of their certifications: Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF). Alina was recognized as one of the 2014 “40 Under 40” Honorees by NACVA and the Consultants’ Training Institute (CTI), an acknowledgment of her exceptional contributions to the industry.

Her involvement with NACVA/CTI is extensive. Alina co-chaired the 2015 Annual Conference and has been a member of the Annual Conference Planning Committee since 2016. She has also contributed to the International Business Valuation Body of Knowledge Task Force and the Course Review Committee. Alina served on the Valuation Credentialing Board until May 2018, when she was elected to the Executive Advisory Board for a three-year term, eventually becoming its Chair until 2021. Currently, she co-hosts NACVA’s monthly show, “Around the Valuation World.”

We are confident that Alina’s expertise and vision will significantly contribute to the LIB’s mission of advancing thought leadership in business valuation and financial litigation.
